Ladies morning coffee is an open coffee session, where ladies come together to connect, share ideas, and engage in stimulating conversations. These events happen on the first Friday of every month. This meeting’s guest discussion leader was Ivana Suarez. Ivana was leading us in a discussion about how she got started with her eco-friendly paper company Plantame Company. Being kind to the environment is something we all do effortlessly, and Ivana is going to explain how.
Ivana, originally from Argentina, learned how small changes made enormous impacts on the environment through her workplace environment committee group. She was inspired to continue her efforts to co-exist with the environment by making more environmentally friendly choices.
She once received a calendar made entirely out of seed paper, which later produced beautiful flowers in her garden. Her heart was lifted by such beautiful paper, and she enjoyed spreading the joy to her friends and family with other seed paper-related products.
Ivana later moved to Canada with her husband and small dog, Lina, and found it difficult to spread the joy of receiving seed paper-related products in Canada. She simply had a very hard time finding anything made out of seed paper. An idea was born.
Ivana created the Plantame Company to fill a need for environmentally friendly specialty paper made from post-consumer materials. Each product is embedded with high-quality seeds that, when planted, bloom into vibrant flowers or delicious herbs, creating lasting memories and reducing waste.
